Lerman Chamber Orchestra
Lerman Chamber Orchestra performed its first musical program on February 25, 1989. The orchestra has since recorded 12 CDs, among which transcriptions of Igor Lerman, the founder, artistic director and conductor of the orchestra. The records include works by Bach, Tchaikovsky, Debussy, Bartók, Hindemith, Chostakovitch, Schnittke and Piazzolla.
The following artists have performed with the orchestra: Elena Obraztsova, Nicolay Petrov, Boris Berezovsky, Cyprien Katsaris, Victor Tretyakov, Alexander Kniazev, Borodin Quartet and many others.
On November 21, 2007, a memorable performance took place, combining the Lerman Chamber Orchestra and the chamber orchestra «Moscow Virtuosi». The ensemble was directed by Vladimir Spivakov.
The repertoire of the Lerman Chamber Orchestra is vast, ranging from baroque to contemporary music. A considerable amount of the works performed by the orchestra are transcriptions by Igor Lerman.
The orchestra often performs in cities of Tatarstan Republic and Russia. They gave very successful concerts in the Republic of Moldova, Ukraine, Poland, Germany, Switzerland and at different international musical festivals in St. Petersburg, Kislovodsk, Kaliningrad, Perm, in Grand and Small Concert Halls of Moscow Conservatory. During three seasons, the Lerman Chamber Orchestra gave hugely successful concerts in Spain.
After some tours in Russia in the opinion of the enthusiastic press and with a great response from the audience the Lerman Chamber Orchestra was named one of the best chamber orchestras in Russia. «The mastery is perfect, the transcriptions are magnificent. It’s very high level; really great art».
«I know this orchestra since a long time and, I think, it is one of the best chamber orchestras in Russia» (Vladimir Ivanov, professor, Moscow Conservatory).
These are the words of the greatest singer Elena Obraztsova after performing with the Lerman Chamber Orchestra: «I have been on stage for 43 years and this is one of the best orchestras with which I have ever performed».

On November 23, 2013 in honor of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Lerman Chamber Orchestra, there was a concert the Chamber Orchestra in the Grand Hall of Moscow Conservatory. Viktor Tretyakov (violin) was the soloist.
